Based in Brooklyn, NY and Birmingham, AL, I am a professional chef and food stylist.  I gained my formal education at The French Culinary Institute and as a line cook on the opening team at Maialino restaurant in New York City.  I travel the world in search of new ingredients, techniques, lessons and inspiration.  At a Pastaficio in Modena, Italy, I learned to pull delicate pasta gialla for fresh tortelloni.  I staged at an agriturismo in Calabria, Italy where a cook's garden, foraged wild greens, freshly pressed olive oil and homemade wine collided on the dinner table.  As the lead chef of a villa in the South of France, I cooked from markets brimming with provençal tomatoes, just-picked squash blossoms and more varieties of stone fruits than I had ever known.

With a passion for perfect ingredients and a precise hand at the stove, I have worked as a chef, food stylist and recipe developer since 2009. I have the privilege to work with clients in editorial, cookbooks, advertising and television. I have styled, developed and tested recipes in the kitchens of the Time Inc Food Studios, Southern Living Magazine, Saveur and Tasting Table, and tested and edited each chef’s recipe in The New Greenmarket Cookbook (Gabrielle Langholtz, 2014).

When I’m not hosting friends for dinner, you will find me at the green market, yoga, pottery, or photography studio.  From Morocco to Guatemala, I travel, scour for art and antiques, and taste wine wherever I can. I speak Italian and have an ceaseless desire for well-made pasta.

Prior to my work in food, I studied business at The Ohio State University and Ernst & Young LLP, where I managed projects and learned to serve my clients with the utmost integrity and respect.

I would love to style your next photo shoot, cook for your next dinner event, or teach you more of what I've learned.   Please drop me a note or give me a ring.  I look forward to meeting you!
